Osteria Da Fortunata Italian Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings
Osteria de Fortunata at Miami Beach is a wonderful spot to enjoy a great meal in a beautiful setting. The food was excellent, full of flavor, and well prepared. Hand made pasta. They made the pasta in front of you and the taste is wonderful The burrata had a great flavor We also ordered two pastas and dessert The tiramisu is a must try
The homemade pastas are delicious. The ingredients are fresh and the flavors are excellent. We ordered three different pastas to share:carbonara, bolognese and pesto and each one was better than the last one. I felt like I was eating in Italy. The waiter Gitano was warm, friendly and attentive. Excellent food, service and outdoor seating all around. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Tried this restaurant during the week so it was not super busy but the service was a little bit on the slow side (chalk it up to being Italian) lol. But the food was very delicious, we tried their ravioli pomodoro with ricotta, cacio e pepe pasta, and polpette al limone meatballs. The pasta was delicious, next time would try the regular meatballs instead!
This place was an absolute gem. We just happened to stumble upon it while walking around Miami and it turned out to be one of the best meals either of us has had in a long time. We started with the homemade burrata which came with toast, tomatoes, anchovies, fresh basil, arugula and we topped with olive oil and a little extra salt. It was unbelievably good. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and simple in the best possible way. For our mains, we had the homemade fettuccine pasta with oxtail which was phenomenal and full of flavor, and the baked gnocchi which was rich, comforting, and perfectly done. It came out hot and bubbling and the cheese around the outside was crispy and delicious. We finished with tiramisu and cappuccinos and it was the perfect ending to an amazing lunch. My man and I will be dreaming about how good the espresso and tiramisu was for awhile. I saw some reviews saying it is overpriced, but honestly everything in this area is expensive and this meal was absolutely worth it. We had other terrible meals in the area here that were similarly priced and not worth it. Also, our server was great! I feel bad, we were in a food coma, I could not remember his name. We left full, happy, and already talking about coming back. Five stars without hesitation. Such a great find.
i truly mean this when i say it, this was the best pasta i’ve had in america.. and i’ve lived in NJ/NYC my entire life and have been to the best italian restaurants, as well as a family line of cooking amazing italian food. i moved to south florida 2 years ago and struggle to find great italian food down here. i visit italy/sicily yearly and what i ate today in miami is right up there with the food i’ve eaten family run spots in italy. my wife had the pesto pasta and i had the ragu (bolognese) and it was unbelievably tasty. we had the app with the fried zucchini, olives, rice balls and potato croquettes.. SO good. tiramisu was soft and creamy.. it was meant to be split with my wife but i devoured all of it. lastly, our server Gaetano was so pleasant and kind, and really made us feel like we were in a small restaurant in italy. miami is about an hour drive for us but we will absolutely be taking the drive down regularly after having tried this. lastly, normally after a meal like this i feel bloated and gross but i feel fantastic after dinner.. nothing better than authentic hand made pasta
I had an amazing experience at Osteria Da Fortuna, a true little piece of Italy. The carbonara was absolutely delicious, creamy and perfectly authentic, just like in Rome. The pesto was another pleasant surprise, full of flavor and freshness, to finish, I tried the ricotta cheesecake and the mixed berries cheesecake, both smooth, delicate, and bursting with flavor, the service was outstanding, especially thanks to Luigi, who made the whole experience even more special with his kindness and attention.
This place is always packed and they are right on Lincoln road. They offer indoor seating and outdoor seating. They have a person cutting up the pasta fresh and by the window so you could always pass by and watch the amazing work they have here. Our waiter was amazing and the decor was super cute. I mean the restaurant was truly adorable. But the food. I thought it was okay. My mom's noodles were very hard and I was not like in love with how hers tasted. I didn't like my food too much either but it has a ton of cheese so that helped lol. The desserts were also another disappointment. The tiramisu was super good but I order the chocolate cheesecake and omg. Idk what that was but it broke apart all weird and it was super dry. Maybe I'm not used to fine dining but I wasn't too much of a fan of the food. My mom was kinda happy. They been the the restaurant in Europe so they were expecting kind of same expectations.
We dropped by this place while visiting Miami on Christmas Day, and it turned out to be a great find. I can honestly say this was one of the best ravioli dishes I’ve ever had — perfectly cooked, with a rich and superb ragù that really stood out. A big plus is that they make their pasta in-house, and you can actually see the process, which adds to the experience and appreciation of the food. The service was excellent as well. Even as walk-ins on Christmas Day, we were seated immediately, and the staff were friendly and efficient. I’m giving the atmosphere 3 stars, mainly because the seating feels more like dining within a mall setting. With a more refined or enclosed indoor space, the overall dining experience could be significantly elevated.
